The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

Using my EPP discount, I can go down to $1514 after shipping/taxes. Do you all think it's a bit on the high side and hold out for any coupons this week? Couple questions too:

How great is the performance increase between the 160GB 5400 and 7200 RPM HD?
Is it worth upgrading to a better sound card in hopes of not getting that pinging sound folks are reporting?

    Thanks!

I only read this post because I thought it was a limbo tips thread.... sigh.

If you plan to pay with DPA, you can PM me and I'll give you a $100 off coupon that stacks with all the other discounts.
