    Is it supposed to take like 20 secs to hibernate?

    I like this method of shutdown but it just seems to take a long time. Boot up is fast but the shutdown seems too long. Is this normal?

    I'm not sure what the 'normal' is but my hibernation takes about 20 seconds. Much slower than my desktop, I'm assuming because the desktop has a faster hard drive and half the RAM of my laptop. If you have lots of RAM then all that has to be written to disk and will make hibernation longer.

    With 4GB RAM and many apps being opened, hibernation process will be very long.
