I placed an order from Dell EPP for a XPS M1530 on 7/19, and last night I discovered a stackable coupon that would have saved me an additional $60. When I called the automated order status line today, it said that my order was in production and in the boxing stage. Since it's so close to shipping, is it too late to cancel my order? I want to avoid paying to ship it back and any fees (restocking, etc.).

I once canceled an order that was already built. So I assume you can do it. I just called in to customer service. I did promise them that I'd order in the next few months (which I did) but they can't hold you to that. Not sure it even mattered.

Instead of canceling my order, would asking a Dell rep to credit me the difference work? Because Dell doesn't charge your credit card until it ships, right?
