Is my flash drive working like it's supposed to???

With windows running, insert flash drive -- it is recognize and mounted.

Leaving Flash Drive inserted, perform warm boot -- I can boot from the Flash Drive using F12 key

    But...

If the computer is shutdown and then insert Flash Drive.

Power On -- Can't boot to the flash drive [not listed as an available boot device]

Continue boot into Windows -- Flash Drive seen as an USB Human Interface Device

Tried both the back/side USB ports but got same results...

This is an 'el-cheapo' flash drive... Could that be my 'problem'. Or is it 'just the way it is...."???

    Thanks

    Mark

I think it may be the flash drive because I have a 1GB and 256MB Kensington flash drives and dont have any problems with them at all. This is on a 1705 but shouldnt be any different.
