I was actually really psyched when they first unleashed it. While lacking some things, I really felt they pushed the envelope and it made me hopeful for the future. Now it seems they have basically stopped caring about this computer, and so I wonder if there are any plans for a new version of it or if it has been killed off?

Dell retired the Adamo from their site back in March, 2010.

Here is some information from Crunchgear

    From a engadget article:
Dell marketing makeover simplifies brands, kills off Adamo altogether
"Now, that doesn't mean systems like the original Adamo and the Adamo XPS won't exist ever again as Dell VP Ed Boyd tells us similar products will be coming to the XPS line early next year."

Plans for new? You never know with Dell. CES 2011 is coming up..maybe something will be told then?

For every smart decision Dell makes they make two or three dumb ones. That is why their market cap is shrinking.

They need to slow down and stop making so many compromises. Dell could make products as slick as Apple, but they never fully execute good ideas.

I am buying one now with a three year warranty, expecting full refund before then, in other words, free computer for a couple/3 years
