    1. Looking at th 3dmark scores it seems like it is, anybody care to comment?

    I'm looking to purchase a small gaming notebook and was originally gonna go with the G1S by asus but if these penryn's are coming out this week or so matched with the ddr3 8600gt then that'd be crazy!

    2. OR, would it be a good idea to purchase the 1530 and upgrade from the T5450 to a Penryn 9500? Can these processors be swapped like that?

    both notebooks would have pretty evenly matched gaming performance since they both use DDR3 memory. and, yeah, if i were you, i would wait for penryn processors to become more mainstream... unless you want to risk breaking your laptop (as well as your warranty) by opening it up :eek:
