    Is the i1520/vostro 1500's mini pci slot type 3b?

    Wherever the wireless card goes. I thought it was called the mini pci. Here's a picture of the slot I'm talking about, from dell's support page on how to replace the wireless card on a 1520/1500. It's where the wlan card, number 2 designation is. [​IMG]

    It says it's a type 3 b mini pci card. Will it work?

    I'm not so sure abt whether it will work in 1520.... The specs of 1520 does not give any detail about the mini pci card details... Why not go for an Intel 3945 abg wireless card or 4965 agn wireless card ?

    EDIT: Those two intel cards are both Type 3 a... So I'm not sure whether a type 3b card will work here....

    type 3 b mini pci card won't work in 1520/1500, it's mini pci card while 1520/1500 using mini pci express card.
