    Is the inspiron 13 basically a small Studio?

    They look very similar in the pictures that I have seen. Same hinge closure, slot load cd/dvd drive, touch buttons.
    When will we be able to customize and order them from dell?

    No, Inspiron 13 is the NEW Inspiron, not part of the Studio line up.

    What's the difference? From what I read so far, Insprion don't have HDMI, also Inspiron comes with only one color options. Inspiron will be priced lower as entry level notebook.

    Yet, even at entry level price, it still comes with slot-load drive, and the Studio & XPS look. So, Inspiron 13 is a great value, if you can live without HDMI and multi-color options.

    I think he knew it was part of the Inspiron line, just relating the looks of it to a Studio.
