    Hi,
I looked around Dell's canadian website, and I didn't find anything about student discount. I know that on dell.com, there's a place where you can get that discount. Anyone has any info?
    Thanks!

Unfortunately for you and me both, Dell canada doesn't offer student discounts. We get somewhat left of of the great coupons and some savings :( .

    Ok that's sad really,
I noticed you got a Dell Vostro 1500 for 1439$, is that with taxes and everything? Because that's a very good deal|

That's before tax, and after the additional $50 coupon they gave me (adding on to the $140 off when you start from the $849 hot offer model). I'm also paying over 18 months at NO interest which is awesome. If you end up buying from Dell I'd definately go for that.

Hey wizzwizz? Where can I get the 140 off deal that you're speaking of? And the $50 coupon?

Hey, well assuming your in Canada the specific deal I did is under the Vostro 1500 page, and it's called the Core 2 Duo package starting at $849. They have four packaged deals where you buy a 1500 already built up to a point, and you get a certain amount off of what it would be if you were to customize from the basic model. They have these kind of offers for all countries though.

And the coupon I got because with those deals it only lets you go from T7100->t7500, and I wanted the T7300 so I asked to pay $100 more and get it, while still being eligible for the $140 savings, so instead I just got $50 off the T7500 after the lady who I called talked to her superior.

Hey, if you are a student, it's best to check with your school and see if they have an employee purchase plan. I am a student at University of Toronto and they do have a student purchase plan available to us. If your school does not have a website for it, call Dell.ca personally and ask if there is a purchase plan for your school. If not, just tell the agent what school you go to, send him/she an email from your school email address, and he/she will accept that. One agent did that for me, his info is:

    Rumen Colov
    [email protected]

send him a email and see what he says. I didn't order anything yet, but he was willing to apply a student discount. Hope that helps.
