    when the screen is closed? I want to download and defrag my comp at night when I am asleep but if I close my LCD my m1530 goes to sleep. Is there a setting that I can change?

    Yes its in the power management section of vista. Select do nothing when i shut my lid.

    I wouldn't though. Better airflow if it's open.

    Control panel / power options

    Change plan setting (on whichever you are using)

    Change advanced power settings

    See the power buttons and lid in the list?? Click the "+" to expand
    See the lid close action?
