Depending on the color you ordered, I'd say September 10th is the earliest you could possibly expect your laptop. There are people here waiting for theirs since June. I hope yours ships for you on your ESD. Good luck to you!

Not worth it, it would restart the whole process over again

Any change in specs causes Dell to cancel your existing order and submit a new order. Your new order will get a later ESD date.

If you only have to wait 13 days you should consider yourself lucky! Be glad you aren't waiting MONTHS!

Just think how happy you'll be once you actually receive it though. I know when I opened my m1330, the wait was well worth it! :)

    Nice! :D :D

I think Dell does this on purpose, so after we recieve the laptop and we dont like it for some reason we are stuck with it because it would take another 2 months for the other to arrive, lol :p

You may easily be able to convince them to give you free next business day shipping if you are in the US. In fact, usually it doesn't even take much convincing: it's the first thing they offer, sometimes even without prompting.

I was given free next business day shipping when I called to change my shipping address, but when I called again to see if Dell could do anything about the delay, I was offered a free upgrade to 3-5 day shipping. I turned that down.
