I made the mistake of letting my grandmom do it and after checking the order status I already noticed she got the wrong processor. So is there anyway I can like call in to dell or anything and check and confirm the specs on my laptop for some peace of mind? Thanks

Dell will send you an email with your specs, but you can also sign into your account and check them out.

You should be able to. On Dell, there should be a number that will allow you to speak with a sales rep. They should be able to change any of the specs for you.

No no no lol. It's all under my gradparents name and stuff and I really don't feel like bugging her to get her account name and stuff as she probably doesnt even have a clue what it is. I do have the Dell Purchase ID, Order Number, and customer number so is there anything I can do with that?

And all the order status tells me is what model inspiron I have and what processor. And I can already see from there she got the wrong processor which is worrying me. I almost wan't to call her and cancel it and go back and order a 1720 as she didnt even use a coupon for the 1520 but I'd atleast like to know the specs for the one thats being built right now first

Well, my online order status lists every single part that comes with the laptop... even the stickers.

just check your account online at dell... just check the status of your order (i think all you need is order number and postal code)

or call and just ask to confirm specs...

Hmm, Well I just called a rep and finally got my information with much much relief. She got everything right but ended up getting the 2ghz instead of the 2.2 ghz processor which really is nothing big. Thank god. The lady I talked to sounded kinda hawt to lol. I kept trying to get off the phone and she would be like "And sir, Can I give you a free carrying bag?", " And sir, before you let me go can I give you a free one day shipping?". Lol. She said it should ship the 24th which is still absurd since I ordered the 1st of august but whatever. I was very nice and complimented her for the help. Hopefully I just don't get a laptop with crazy screen bleed like i've seen on some of the others.
