seems like a good deal...
wow Dell really sticks their systems with a lot of crap "bloatware". -
Jeez look at all that crappy software.
It seems like a decent price, but you should at least try to find something better. Dell's service really took a nosedive a couple years ago.
Edit:
Notice the notebook comes with two gigs of ram. I don't know exactly what you're doing with your notebook or how tech literate you are, but the vast majority of people don't need two gigs. If you've already purchased it, you really shouldn't worry about finding a better deal because it's pretty good, but ram is pricey and, if you're really having second thoughts, you should take a look around. You can find notebooks with better procs and from better makers for the same price with less ram. One gig is good for most people. If you are tech literate, then I assume you're doing a lot of multi-tasking, in which case your purchase is perfectly justified. -
Well I wasint lookin for 2 gigs of ram but I thought more wouldint hurt because a very similar system with a 9 cell battery instead of 6 and was the same price but i thought the 2 gigs of ram was a better choice then the 9 cell because i can buy a separate 9 cell battery for 60.00 if i wanted to. My main thing was finding a good sytem for a good price. If you think I can find better for no more then 700.00 let me know
-
Is this Core duo 2050 better then a turion x2
-
It really depends on how fast the Turion is. Let me look around for a 700 dollar notebook.
-
The more I look in the dell outlet the more I think this is not a bad deal because I cant find something better for the same price. Especially with 2 gigs ram. But I would still appreciate comments.
-
Believe it or not, I couldn't find a better deal.
I say try eBay, but many people have reservations about eBay. -
I found a Turion x2 tl-56 1.80 ghz system with same specs for the same price. I think the Core Duo's are better but I can be wrong. Should the 64 bit support of the Turion x2 be a deciding factor or no? I don't know much about the 64 bit importance.
-
So then I should stick with this system? what makes me think it's a steal is the 2 gigs of ram. Everything else with 2 gigs are over 1000.
-
Wait, the tx2 system has all the same specs?
-
No, Your right. it has 1gb Ram instead of 2. and has ati radieon 1150 express graphics card. And a 15.4 glossy screen instead of the 14.1 matte. Wow I missed alot. lol
-
So that makes the Turion x2 system obsolete to this one. I prefer the 14.1 screen. and also that it has 2 gigs of ram vs 1 gig. Only thing I like about the Turion system is the 9 cell battery but thats nothing to base my purchase on.
-
good choice. the Core Duo is the better proc anyway.
-
Okay. But what about the 64 bit. Is it important to have because id prefer a futureproof system. If so I will wait on a Core 2 Duo instead. Basically should I worry about that core duo 2050 not supporting 64 bit If I plan on having this notebook for atleast 3 years.
-
Seems like a good deal. 2 gb ram and core 2 duo for about 700$ is great.
Next time just post the basic hardware, don't post the lists of software and stuff. It's very confused and hard to see. -
No, That's the thing Khanfat It's a Core Duo not Core 2 Duo. That's why i was having a hard desicion.
Is this a good Dell outlet deal???
