Starting today at 8:00AM CDT, Dell will be having a $750 off $1499 coupon. Get there early. The last time they did this, it lasted about 45 minutes. Apply coupon code P6LP$WFJQ6R1SF during checkout. I would spend the extra $59 for the larger battery to get to about five hours. It does add a little weight and sticks out a little in the back. Upgrading to at least the combo drive seems like a good idea just got make sure to get it ober $1499 to be able to use the coupon. Good Luck.

saw a 1 gig stick on crucial for $220 after tax. The 1 gig ( 2 sticks ) from Dell was worth it after I saw the instructions on how to replace the sodimms, you basically have to disassemble the unit -more than i'd like to. If it was easier to pop off a plate on the bottom, then i'd do the crucial. Don't really need 2 gig ( or room for 2 gig ) at this point ... time savings to just order it up front -
