Is this a good deal for the 640m (CDN)?

Thanks for the reply, I opted for "3 Yrs Next Business Day Service,Complete Care and Tech Support" though which is $319 more.

But ya, it's 1069 + tax without the warranty.

(is $319 worth the warranty with complete care and all that?)

My bad... i didn't catch that..
Its worth it; as Complete Care is spose to cover everything except technical support.

So if you spill anything, anything breaks.. its covered by the warranty.
But then again.. you have one year to decide if you want to purchase it or not.

Oh ok, I think I might as well get the warranty now with it since it's "20% off" supposedly.

So that's the cheapest I've found the 640m to be with the specs I want, do you think I should wait longer or just get it? I know it's hard to say since deals go on and off but I think that's a pretty ok price from the CDN site since they don't get as many of the crazy deals like the US does.

Thats true.. but right now.. There's the 14 Days of Dell deals going on right now (started today). If it appears cheaper on the deals.. then bite.. but right now.. I don't really see the rush to buy unless you really need it.

I heard that the 14 Days of Dell deals only include software & peripherals. If it includes possible laptop deals, then I'll wait it out (as difficult as it may be lol).

Mmmk, temptation got the best of me, especially cause I got an additional $100 off, so it was essentially $969 CDN for the above system + $319 for the warranty + tax which equaled $1455.44 CDN.

If I didn't get that $100 off, I would have waited longer, oh well, now to play the other waiting game. Although I most likely won't be here when it arrives cause I'm going on vacation, I assume that anyone can sign for it though right? That anyone being an adult of course.

In my country - Bulgaria is offered the Notebook Dell Inspirion 640m in a large Elektonikgstore in such configuration . Two data surprise me, over which I did not read in your previous posts:
    1. the maximum ressolution of the display is 1440 x 900
    2. shared MEMORY of the video card is “up to 224 Mb”
Is it to concern a special country-specific configuration, or is also with your Notebooks that the case?
    Price is about $ 1218.

The price is good but just like everything else in a few weeks or months a better deal will come along
