    Is this worth keeping it's a refurbished dell 1520 with intel t7100, 80 gb hd, 15.4 wsxga, 1gb memory. for 640.00 after tax and shipping. here it is..

    Well its certainly not a bad deal, but what you're buying here is strictly-work-only laptop. Running windows vista premium with only 1GB RAM will work, but its not ideal. Gaming is out of the question since you chose intel's integrated crap. If you can get over that (I couldn't) you're good to go!

    imo go with a vostro 1500 its the same system except its all black.. you'll get much more for your money

    well I don't play any pc games i play console games so would the intel x3100 graphics still be a bad thing?

    The thing i was worried about was the screen resolution. I don't know if everything is going to look to small.

    shouldn't be that bad, unless u got vision problems. the card will be more than plenty for just work, internet, and some card games :)

    imo i would at least get the 8400m card just in cast there is something more you will end up doing with it

    Okay I am not playing any games on it for sure. so is a better graphics needed? or is it only needed if i plan on gaming

    I'd go with at LEAST the 8400M GT due to Vista's love for using the graphics card (Aero), but that is up to you... I haven't seen how Aero performs on Intel's latest integrated so it might not be as bad as I'm predicting either...

    i agree.. go w/ the vostro... and config /w more ram and better video card... i hope u dont run into the screen issues either it being a refurbished laptop.
