Sorry for the bad quality, don't have photoshop to resize the pictuures

It seems the screen suffers from bad uneven lighting, to the point were it is very frustrating to view. I'm assuming this isn't a common thing?

there's NO WAY you can make that call because it's a picture. you can't move your head up/down/left/right or tilt the screen to see if there is a sweet spot.

First, you dont need photoshop to resize a picture. ;)

But that screen looks normal. You have it at full brightness in a dimly lit room with a black background.

So that is normal is it? in web sites with dark backgrounds the lower half of the page often appears grey not black, its pretty much immediately obvious.

And i used paint to resize the photo :p

try adding a few more pics maybe, I would call Dell if its really that bad, but a pic may be inaccurate.

i called them and explained the situation, they said they would happily exchange the screen, they didn't even seem to be bothered by the situation, and instantly agreed. I'm just wondering is it worth exchanging, or will the others be like this too? I can still just return the computer and switch to a different company if they are going to all be like this.
