    No its not if u read the small description it says "Desktop" Look at the photo, look how long the stick of ram is! that will never fit in a notebook!!

    yes, it does look like notebook memory, i wouldnt buy it anyway of what it says

    I cancelled it. Looking it up on other sites I see it is desktop ram and 184-pin. I need 200-pin.

    Thats for desktops, the Inspiron 9100 is a notebook.

    Another question: Is there a big difference between PC2700 (333mhz) and PC3200 (400mhz) ram? Would I be fine with PC2700 even though most places say to get PC3200?

    400MHz is top for DDR. This computer is 4 years old.

    Can anybody find 1GB sticks around $70 on amazon.com?

    I really cant find any for that system. Are you sure you want to upgrade an old computer?

    It uses 200-Pin DDR SO-DIMM DDR 400 (PC 3200 or maybe PC2700)
