I checked my service tag, and this is what it says:

F5399 ASSEMBLY, CABLE, COAXIAL, LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY, 17, SULLIVAN/GILBERT

MC887 LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY, WXGA+, VIDEO ELEC. STDS. ASSOC., 17, LENGTH/LONG

    is this good or bad?

if you like the screen, then it's good, if you don't, then it's bad

I have exactly same codes, its an LG screen. If you download program called EVEREST ( http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html ), it will show LPL000, its an LG screen. I have no idea why people say its a bad screen , sparkles etc. I see nothing wrong, greatn clean screen.
