My 1210 is due to arrive Monday with 2x512 in it. Can I buy one stick of the G.SKILL memory above, and configure it with 1.5G? I've heard that dual channel makes little difference to laptops, but I'm no expert. So my questions:
1) Is that the right ram for my machine? The order lists it as coming with 2x512 RAM at 667MHz
2) Can I mix one of the 512s it came with, and one of the 1G's listed above?
3) Should I?![]()

1) yes
2) yes
3) ??? that's up to you.
I just got 2 sticks of that exact memory for my E1505 that is on order. I had a $25 dollar credit at newegg so it was a pretty good price.
If you have to pay tax at newegg (like I do) you might want to think about getting this memory.

Corsair is probably better quality than the G.Skill for the same price. At least it is more "name brand" memory. If I would not have had the $25 credit at newegg, I'd of gone with the Corsair myself.

Thanks for the reply VVarwick. Picking it up locally isn't so great for me, since the nearest Best Buy is 150 miles away...I live about 30 miles down the road from the middle of nowhere.

Your welcome! I'd hold off if I were you on the memory. I got only 1 stick of 512MB with my 1505 order, so it was a no brainer to order more memory. If I had been forced by Dell to get 2 sticks of 512 like with the M1210, I'd wait and use the laptop for a while to see if 1GB is enough for your needs.

Is this the right RAM for my 1210?
