    Hi guys,
Its been a couple of days since I received my machine. I like its look and appearence (its bright enough) but its giving me some problems:
    1) CD/DVD drive is not being detected(modular bay) at BIOS every time!
    2) The hard disk (80 GB) initially seemed to be fast enough but it is freezing the system after I had put a couple of big installation files in a particular folder.
I would like to know if the hard disk freeze(for 5-6 seconds) is because of its slow speed(80gb) or some hardware defect - so that I could get the machine excahnged.

    Thanks

    -Mad

I noticed a similar issue with installation of new programs. When I got rid of the Antivirus Suite, I noticed no more issues. Another possibility is that the Antivirus software/firewall/etc needs to be shut down prior to installation. Whatever the case, I run Zone Alarm and Norton Antivirus now and have no issues...

there are known issues with zone alarm and norton running on the same system. check the included readme file for info for zone alarm. not saying this was your prob as it looks like no probs now, but check the readme anyway for info.

hmm, i havenot tried to install a huge program yet, so my 60G 7200RPM hard drive is doin pretty good, and yes, the optical drive is making a lot of noises at the beginning, but after a few seconds, it is quiet. where is the PCIe port?
