    Hey everyone,

I recently got my girlfriend to buy a Vostro 1400 with the following specs:

    Intel Celeron M540 (1.86/533/1MB)
    1GB (667/DDR2/x512)
    Intel Accelerated Graphics X3100
    120GB 5400 RPM Toshiba HDD
    9-cell battery

Its just less than a month old and there are a few issues that are annoying at the moment.

As we all know the AUO screen is a huge issue, I haven't talked to them yet but I will in the next few days to get it possibly replaced.

One issue that has been annoying is the touchpad, it is not as responsive as it should be and I have already played and tweaked it for hours and no luck. Sometimes we have to click twice for it to work...is this a possible hardware problem?

Also, the notebook seems slow sometimes, I can't decide whether its because of the fact that I installed Windows Vista Ultimate on it or not, it originally had Windows Vista Home Basic.

maybe driver of hard ware was not intall,or ram is broken.
if you can turn power on ,it seem no broken with you cpu and mainboard.
you'd better download some software such as pcmark 05 to test you computer.

sucha slow processor won't be able to make the computer show its true performance and of course everything would make the computer slow down like a slough.
