    :D As of about 11:30 this morning my laptop has shipped!!!!!!

    Strange, though, it states "shipping method -- next business day"
    Ship Date of 8/14 and estimated delivery of 8/17-8/21.

    Call me crazy, but isn't Wednesday (8/15) a "business day"?? Maybe they are just covering their arse. :eek2:

    I was also told I would be getting a $20 and a $50 coupon for future purchases...anyone else told that? When did you get them?

    Yes pragin... I do have a shipping number as of now. I didn't have one as of abour 4:00 but I just got home from the gym and checked and one showed up. I'm a little confused though.... :confused:

    The "shipping method" still says Next Business Day
    The carrier now says "DHL Express Ground"

    When I check the tracking # on DHL it says that the shipping information has been recieved and under "service" it says "Ground". :mad:

    Don't think I won't be calling my "dell chat buddies" if that shipment doesn't arrive tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!! :realmad:

    And...might I note, that on the DHL website, they have the following shipping options listed in this order:

    DHL Same Day Service
    DHL Next Day 10:30am
    DHL Next Day 12:00pm
    DHL Next Day 3:00pm
    DHL 2nd Day
    DHL Ground
    DHL@home, etc., etc.

    So...you can see why I might be a little miffed when my service under my tracking shows "GROUND" when my "Dell Order" says "Next Business Day"

    Again...if the laptop doesn't arrive tomorrow, I will be in touch w/Dell!

    My laptop is on it's way to my house!!!! :D

    My husband got a call on his way to work from DHL informing him that the package would require a signature and that he would be at the residence between 11:00-12:30!!!!!!!

    I'll be sure to let you know when I have it in hand!!!!!! Now I just have to see about getting those coupons I was promised. ;)

I was just trying to gently point out that I thought usapatriot was some sort of moderator, given his post count, and that lindley25 should probably not discount his advice so blithely, since I assumed that his -job- here is to delete threads that he feels are unnecessary.

    To each his own I guess Surfasb....I use to not like brown myself, but for about the last 8 years or so it's been my favorite. I just love it! I also like orange and yellow...mostly autumnal colors are my favorite.

    I haven't tried my laptop w/headphones yet...but so far I'm really liking it. The only think I have found so far that is just a preference issue is that in Windows Mail (the new Outlook Express) I can't seem to have my e-mail contacts on the left side under my local folders like I could on my desktop. I don't know if it's not available yet or if I just haven't figured it out yet...if anyone knows for sure, please let me know!

    And..I still haven't gotten those coupons yet....hmmm....was it all talk and no action?
