I'm really surprised that they are issuing 40% after having the $750 out for majority of the summer....glad they decided to finallly start issuing the better coupons again.

How is the 40% off a better deal than $750 off $1,500?

I guess its a better deal if you spend $2,000+ because you would save $800 vs $750 but other then that, how?

you already did the math, for those wanting a high end system or feeling like they can really get there moneys worth then 40% is better than a flat $750. If you order a $3,000 machine then that's $1200 off. That's a lot.

it's really meant for people who wish to get the 6000, 9300, and the XPS gen 2...they can save sometimes over $1000+...which is very helpful

Ouch, already gone today as of 7pm pacific time. I can't believe they offered this one for only $999 and up! Guess I'd better have my cart ready to go at a moment's notice then :p I had a long conversation with a sales rep, trying to get her to input this through her system (This was before I bothered actually reading the "How to redeem dell coupons" section on the site, was previously getting them from another site).

Back to waiting for my loaded XPSII then... :(

BTW... do the math, since it's very easy to get either of the high end systems up and over $4k, 40% off suddenly puts an "insane" $4000 purchase down into the "moderately unstable" range :D
