Today my 9100 finally arrived. Somehow purolator got the address mixed up or else I would have had it yesterday. Thankfully Dell and purolator were able to correct the mistake quickly.
The only thing I've been doing is trying to get internet access through my wireless router. It's took about 6 hours to do that. Lol, that has to be a record.
Finally a call to netgear saved the day, just when I was starting to get a little frustrated.
So I really have nothing to report on about this laptop. Other than the keyboard is perfect for typing on when it's sitting in your lap. The hand rests are very comfortable.
Gotta go though because I'm still unable to access my other pc though the router and that will probably take another 6 hours to figure that out.[]

Just a note here. Netgear's tech suppor is out of India, but I've never had to hold long and they've always got me situated within a few minutes. Did you have a good support call with them?

Netgear's tech support was top notch. I called twice and I got though to an agent immediately both times. Other than the heavy accent, which was hard to understand, they were great and had me connected to the internet in about 10 minutes.
Now it looks like I'll be calling them again because I can't get a network connection going.[!]
Any suggestions?
I have my desktop (windows 98) wired directly to my Netgear WGR614 wireless router.
My Dell 9100 is connected wireless.
I have internet access with both but I can't get them to recognize each other. Workgroups are the same. All drives are share enabled.
I'm really at a loss here.
I did get my laptop to show up on my destops network places, but it wouldn't let me access it. Now for some reason even the icon for my laptop has gone away.
I'm really at a loss here.
Thanks,

Ok, I got it working after reading a post from another site. Here's a link to what I did. It worked for me perfectly. After rebooting both pc's, they recognized each other right away.
Anyone having trouble networking a 98 os with an xp os, or something similar, I'd recommend having a look.

This wireless stuff is great. I can even go take a dump now and still surf the net. Wife always complains about all the magazines I leave laying around the bathroom, so I guess we'll both be happy. -
Thanks for that little bit of personal info! [
