It's my opinion that the Dell drivers are better than the Omega drivers (E1505 + X1400)

Reverting to the Dell drivers for my X1400 seems to have largely solved my main screen flickering for a second when driving an external monitor.

Flash animations seem to run a little smoother.

My laptop does not freak out when I pull the AC power out. LCD would go black sometimes.

You may have a specific tweak that you like with the Omega drivers, I just used them "as is."

Using custom install I only installed the drivers and not the "catalyst."

of course they are. Same goes for nvidia, only official drivers has 0 issues. Everything else is repackaged driver for desktop cards.

yeah, the 2-3 fps gain isnt worth the instability issues and weird happenings with hacked drivers
