With Dell offering such good deals and no interest financing, I ordered a new notebook. I already have an Quad Core, 8800GT desktop, I knew I wanted a portable machine that could at least handle older games on the road, and WoW. The 1330 seemed to fit the bill, and since my last few dells have been good to me and service has been excellent, it seems like the logical choice. Anyways here is my configuration:
T7500
Standard Black
LED Screen
3GB Ram
8400GS 128MB
320GB 5400RPM Drive
Intel Draft N
Bluetooth 2.0EDR
6 cell
3 year warranty with onsite service
20GB Data Backup
I got the 320 B/C I need to spend 1601 to get 12% discount through EPP. I rather have extra space vs a small boost in performance as this is not my main machine. Total Cost with tax was 1528, but I am going to try and get dell to credit me 4% for using my DPA as I could not get the discount to apply last night. If I can get my discount, It will drop the price to around 1460$ shipped which is great for a notebook of this size and performance.

you sure have lots of money to waste... you could have saved money (and I am talking about over 200 bucks) on ram and hard drive by getting lowest possible, getting it from another reputable vender for portion of the price and selling your existing one to someone else.
Otherwise, good notebook. Should serve you well. -
y did u get the 20gb backup, its such a waste of money imo, u are better of getting a few gmail accounts and emialing the files to yourself

Viz Dell is having a Sale. Been dells best price since the famous University deal a long time ago. For what I got which includes 3 year warranty and on-site service its pretty damn good. Try and find me a 12-13inch notebook that can match it.

ok ok, then i understand, you could have always planted a tree for 5$

I just converted that initial price you gave and realised that with the dollar as weak as it is right now I would do very well to order my 1330 from Dell America.
It's a mere 800 quid for that potent spec in the US. I say 'mere' only because it would cost me about £1,400 over here for the very same configuraton in our currency.
That's better than any discount voucher I've ever seen!
Hmmmn... My only concern would be after-sales if issues arise. That could prove to be a monumental *****.
Anyway, I ramble, you must report back with a little owner testimony upon arrival. Good luck!*
*A perverse, yet neccessary comment of any Dell purchase it would sadly seem.Last edited by a moderator: May 8, 2015 -

With 1 year standard warranty and 2Gb ram from the UK site it came to £899. With the 10% discount code it comes down to £809.
Obviously you've still got to add 1gb of ram to equal the US spec and it's a shorter warranty, but as you've said, the US after-sales issue could be a nightmare.
Other posters have mentioned Dell UK are pushing the warranty options with discounts, so you may be able to haggle a spec close to the cost of the US one. -
I'm gonna be taking advantage of this deal as well. I'm still waiting, however, for my old Inspiron 1420 to make it back to Dell. Did I mention I shipped it out on the 11th of December?

I would call UPS/DHL and find out where it is. Returns do not normally take that long.
Its ordered: XPS 1330
