So as of today, July 2nd, what is the best price anyone is seeing for the XPS1330 and Inspiron 1420?

I totally missed the Drake/UFL deal cause I was out of town, which makes me sad. I don't think there was ever a real Inspiron 1420 deal, because to me, and Inspiron shouldn't be upwards of ~1000 pretax.

All this being said, all posts are appreciated.

There is a $350 coupon if you configure any Inspiron to $1399. Thats the best deal out there so far. You can get a pretty good configuration(T7300,8600M GT) for $1050 pretax.

And btw, the new dells are better built than the older ones. They finally put dedicate cards in 14'' models. THe E1405 before it has intergrate cards. So you might want to up your budget 100-200 more.

Shortly after I ordered my new 1420 I got an email where the link to the Dell website started the 1420 at $799. I canceled my old order and re-ordered. The link included a bigger hard drive, intel wireless, and free upgrade to the webcam. I ended up getting the whole package for $1015.49 with tax.
