I have noticed a few people mention that Dell gets great sales going for Independence Day. I have been looking at buying an E1505 with EPP for a few months now and for the system I want the end price comes out to about $1,150 whenever I try it. You know the deal, when good coupons are out the prices of parts go up and when great coupons arent around the prices go down. Should I wait for July 4th in hopes that something miraculous will happen or just buy a laptop now seeing that prices really dont fluctuate. I have time to wait till July 4th so thats not a problem.

    Thanks

Something miraculous won't happen. Don't expect prices to be cut in half or 300-400 off. Even if there is a "special sale," you're going to save 100 dollars at most. I think what the July 4th sales is going to be is just a huge advertisement campaign featuring current prices and coupons (most people that I know didn't know about the 750 off before I told them).

Dell updates prices every week or so and released new deals every Thursday, so just check back every couple days to see what's new.

Well, dell does fluctuate their prices a lot! Last week I could only get a few hundred (maybe 20%) off a computer I picked out. This week, that 1800 dollar computer dropped to 1300 (30% off) and I bought it. Now... just waiting till it gets here! Just keep an eye on things - and most of the time you need to actually start building a computer before you know what the deal is. This last week it was 20-35% off Inspirons (the best I've ever seen). So, go ahead and wait till the 4th - maybe it'll pay off, or maybe in a week that 20-35% off deal will come back.

I personally find price adjustments and fluctuations like this annoying especially if you bought a system right before the cuts. Definetly keep close watch.
