Hey guys,
Firstly, I have to thank the majority of you out there. I admit to my constant lurking around these forums without giving anything back, but that will soon change! (Now that I'll actually have an experience of which to share.)

I just ordered my Dell XPS M1210 2 days ago, and was wondering if the price I got was any good considering the specs on my machine.
After much deliberation, I managed to snag:
Dell XPS M1210

- Genuine Windows® XP Media Center Edition 2005

- 256MB NVIDIA® GeForce Go 7400 TurboCache
- 8x CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer DVD+R write capability

- Windows Vista Capable
; all that jazz for $1800 CAD, flat (before taxes). Configuring the same laptop on the Dell Canada website nets me a lovely $2177. I haggled with the Dell CSR best I could (I've never quote haggled with a major corporation before) and my end result was "sufficient" for me to surrender my credit card.
In retrospect, I wished I spoke to at least another CSR and price compare, as the guy I got was somewhat hard to understand, with a heavy accent at times. I suspect I was just too darn excited, with the novelty factor of owning a laptop for the first time.
I'm sure others share the same experience, but those CSR's, eh? He tried to sell me printers and plasma TV's to go along with the purchase, of course the bait being an additional discount on the M1210. I had to tell him firmly that anything in addition to the laptop was not within my budget, period, but the talking helped me get a ~$50 discount while he was attempting to hook me.
He told me it'd be delivered in 7-10 "business days", but I'm terribly impatient and hope to alleviate that via posting this. I'm just stircrazy. Or just plain crazy.
I appreciate any and all questions, comments and criticisms.

Holy cow that is a really good deal man. Mine was $1850 before tax and I don't have bluetooth, no sound card, no wireless N, no 1 year completecare, only 9-cell, and only 80gb hard drive.
One thing I'm better than you though is that I have it before you. Haha.. How did you get such a good deal?
