I just ordered my first notebook! I got it for $1583 shipped. Used the $750 off coupon, you guys are awesome for posting it! Specs are as follows:

    Core Duo T2400
    WinXP MCE
    Free 1GB 533Mhz DDR2 RAM upgrade
    100GB 7200RPM HD
    NVIDIA Go 7900GS GPU!!!! :D
    8x CD/DVD Burner
    Intel 3945 wireless
    Dell Wireless 350 Bluetooth
    6-cell battery

What do you think? Anything I should know before it gets here, any recommendations, anything? I plan on doing a full reformat once it arrives. I'm so excited!

Not bad, expect the 9 cell might be better for you becuase of the gpu and the bluetooth/wireless tend to eat more power

Yeah, but I planned on buying an additional battery later anyway, so I just went with the cheaper one up front to see how it turns out.

From what I read, the 7900GS is supposed to be more battery friendly than the 7800 Go. I too went with the 6 cell. I think we will be ok.
