    Hi!

    I'm new to the forums, currently typing on a crappy Acer Aspire 5051AWXMI :(

    However, a couple of days ago, I took the plunge in the M1530 :D

    Specs:

    2.2GHz T7500
    2GB RAM
    1490x900 WXGA+
    8600M GT
    120GB 7200RPM
    9 Cell Battery
    Crimson Red :)eek :)


    Have I specc'd it up well enough to play FSX resonably well (Mid-High Settings)? I would be willing to do a little bit of o/cing.


    Also, are there any other general comments you have about the system?

    Two things. First, you lucky bastard, I cut my budget to save money by not getting the screen, or the 9cell. Other than that I have the exact same system. You'll really like the keyboard compared to your acer.

    Last thing (if you don't count the keyboard), cancel your order and use the Dell EPP (employee purchase plan) to save 4% w/o 3 yr warranty or 8% w/ 3 yr warranty

    I got a £945 system down to £724 by using a 10% coupon and the EPP discount!

    Congrats! I ordered the same system last Tuesday (with 3GB RAM and in Tuxedo black) and was notified by email that it has already shipped out. ETA is Tuesday 1/22. First impressions will be forthcoming! :D
