If I make a dual boot config on my 1210 with XP and Vista, is there a way to have it boot into Vista automatically when I trun on the laptop? So that the only way to boot XP would be to enter a key stroke on boot or something like that?

I just don't want to have to chose the OS eash time, I'd like there to be a default.

    Thanks!

To anyone that dual boots, do you have to choose? Maybe I am worrying for nothing and it is by default...

I'm fairly sure you can choose. I use GRUB with an XP Linux dual boot and you can specify which is booted after a ten second delay when it turns on.

This guide http://apcmag.com/5023/dual_booting_xp_with_vista shows "Seconds until the highlighted choice will started" on the Windows Boot Manager.

You may get a better response in the Windows OS and Software subforum.

    Ah, ok.

I was wondering is maybe the F12 for boot options could be messed with I suppose? Not a boot loader really, just an option when I decide I need it. I forgot to put that part up there.

You never really need to use F12 except for when you are booting from a CD/DVD for installing an OS. Other than that, there will be a boot manager like GRUB.

Mmm, ok. I'll just stick to Visat for now then.
