I was wondering if there is a setting or something that will make it so when I am in MediaDirect, then you can close the screen on my E1505 without it shutting it down. Is it just a setting or a patch or an update or something? Or am I just an idiot(Very probable)

Nope....
That's 'Just the way it is'.

Ooops after re-reading your post....
When you say 'close the screen' do you mean exiting the application or closing the lid of the computer??? -
Just simply closing the lid of the computer, the only time I would use MediaDirect is when I'm on the move.. Just curious if there was a patch or something.
-
That is weird that it shuts down by closing the lid. I will check it out online and see if I can find any info.

We had another user state this.
I'm assuming that you are talking about using Media Direct with out booting into XP. I don't know if this will work or not, but you might check your XP settings and adjust your power management settings so that when the lid is closed your laptop doesn't shut down.
I know this is an XP setting, but there has been some rumors that when you use Media Direct without XP it does use some of the XP resources. -
Makes sense to me that it wouldn't. The two 'systems' [Windows and MediaDirect] don't interact in any way and the settings for one won't effect the other. They are very independent.
As you can't get to any of the 'standard' power management things while in MediaDirect, you're kinda stuck with whatever the default is...
In this case, Close Lid = Close Application/Power Off

Yes I know it makes sense that it wouldn't, but like I said there have been rumors that the Media direct does use part of XP to run. It was just a suggestion.

Made me give it a go.... Strange things with computers you never know sometimes!!! You think you've 'broken the code' and you get suprised...
