I bought a DELL for Graduate school. I have not had a good experience. I LOVE the laptop the look the weight the keys I got a 1525 Inspiron it's purple with all the upgrades they assured me that I would not need another one for 5 years or longer. It was my DREAM computer so I spared no expense I got everything I wanted and all the little extras drop protection, Lo Jack, all the warranties and extended warranties you name it. Total cost 1700.00. It worked correctly for three days. Then it broke and I spent an entire day on the phone then it worked for two weeks. I had a paper due the day it decided to for Windows Vista to not be authentic again after they aurssed me it wouldn't happen again. Thank God I had a back up desk top. An entire day later on the phone and it was working again. Three weeks later guess what? Yep, and it's been broke ever since. I don't have time to stay on the phone and fix it. They won't send someone to fix it and they won't let me return it. I have begged them to give me another one just like it or I would drive and take it and drop it off somewhere or someone could come to my job or whatever to get it fixed. Unless I can spend countless hours on the phone they don't want to speak to me. For the service I have gotten and the aggrevation I would have rather just went to a department store and got a no name for about 1200 cheaper.

Go to shop and give it back to them.
Maybe install Xp and sell it off and get a new one -

That doesn't make any sense that they won't send someone out to fix it if it is under warranty.

Yeah kinda disappointing, I have never liked any warranty people from any brand so to be honest I'm not all that surprised.
Just a thought......
