    Hi there

Okay, I was literally just about to order the I6000 and then the I6400 comes out. Which is a good things - the only thing is the graphics!

I need the notebook like yesterday - any advice out there?

Should I try and hold off for longer?

Hi! I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. I was just about to pull the trigger on the 6000 when the e1505 came out. For me, its worth the wait for the core duo, truelife screen, and better graphics (when it appears). I think I'd regret making compromises on what I really want just to have the 6000 sooner, when dedicated graphics could be available very soon (though ppl here seem to be saying a month or so =/ ). Well, that's just what I'm doing. I think the e1505 will be worth the wait. Hope that helps!

Unless your a moderate user for whom the Core Duo won't make any difference, don't! The 6000 is old news. Wait for the 6400.

I'd definitely wait for the e1505. I believe you should never wait months for new technology, because something else is always on the horizon. However, I am a big believer in waiting a little bit for the manufacturers to get their act together. The e1505 is what you want, so hold off (IMHO). Cheers. Good luck. :)

    Hi

About to place the order for the E1505, you reckon I should wait until they give the option of a dedicated graphics card?

Yeah, the vid card switch is lame. I don't know what they're using for video cards, but HP/Compaq is upgrading a number of their models with dual-core processors.

If the computer will be a tool to help you accomplish your work more efficiently, you really shouldn't hold off much longer. It doesn't take long before waiting for the stars to align becomes extremely counterproductive. I don't think there's any reason to assume the video card will be improved any time soon. I'd consider other options. Definitely look at HP.

    Sure, well said.

The E1505 / 6400 is available in Canada straight away, it's just that display adapter that is worrying a little bit interms of not wanting to buy twice if you know what I mean!
