After having a discussion on what laptop to get, I read some posts on not spending all your money on new and go with 'Used', 'Refurbs' etc. So i popped into dell out and bought the below spec. Hope i got a good bargain:

I have a Dell Studio 1745 right now, with 8Gb RAM Upgrade (done myself from Corsair), plus two OCZ Agility 128Gb SSD's. Thinking of switching out the HDD in the new laptop with the SSD.

    Really appreciate your feedback. Wayne

It's a perfectly good laptop for 460 bucks, congratulations. You should put the main HDD into a caddy/USB3 case and replace it with a SSD, it's a must for the newer laptops, especially the ones with 5400 rpm hard drive.

    Thanks.

Glad you concur with the switching out the HDD with my SSD's, I get great times from them. Just trying to decide what to do:

    1. Remove Primary Drive and set it as secondary. With existing SSD as Primary.
    2. Remove Primary Drive and use as a USB, i already have a USB Case.

I now need to get my old machine sorted ready for listing on ebay.

Time to sell it me thinks :)
