    Just bought a like new Inspiron 8000...

    Should be here by saturday. Just wondering what previous 8000 owners have to say. Hopefully you guys have had good experiences.

    Here are my specs:

    p3 1ghz
    512 megs ram
    Geforce2 Go 32 meg
    cdrw/dvdrom combo drive
    wifi card
    15" UXGA
    etc etc

    Guy had a gf4 440 64 meg in it but he said it started causing white screens in games etc so he took it out. (overheating issue?) BTW anyone have an extra GF4 440 go 64 meg lying around I would really to try that card again as I suspect it is much better than the gf2 32 meg the laptop is coming with

    Have fun - you could try dells component replacement service for a different graphics card.
