there are a few touchscreen kits on ebay, if that's your sort of thing... beyond that, i've heard the mini9 is very easily upgradeable, so i suppose you could fit a larger/faster SSD.

I would definately add the ram and then if you got the cash a 64gb runcore ssd. Also os X runs flawless on this thing ( I am on my mini right now(64gb runcore, 2gb ram and running retail os X) ). This thing is the greatest thing since sliced bread! If you want alot of helpful info head on over the dell mini forums:

If you need to upgrade it already, you should have gotten a vaio P or some other larger, actually fast dual-core notebook. : )

That's a little joke. I would definitely add ram. Ram has always been one of the easiest and smartest upgrades. I just with the mini's and other netbooks had a dual core atom or more mainstream processor in them. I have not been impressed with performance.

Using the runcore ssd (proven 6x faster then the ssd that comes from the factory) and running os X this little thing hauls pretty fast for me! With the runcore ssd it actually runs some apps faster than the 2.4 core 2 duo macbook pro I have.

I just use my mini for surfing the web and listen to a little music. I put all of the songs from my ipod onto that 16GB card and listen through itunes. After I installed AVG, spyware terminator, CC Cleaner, Firefox, VLC and Microsoft office 07 my 16GB internal hard drive only have a few GB left (good thing I got the 16GB over the 8GB) so the extra 16GB flash card was a great option and it doesn't hang out of the slot so you don't even know it is in.

I did not try the system with the installed RAM, I immediately installed the 2GB RAM before I even powered up the system.

I am very pleased with the laptop so far but again I do not do much on it beside surfing the web and occasionally listening to music.
