Two things I wasn't sure about though, the first is whether I should have bought the Dell travel remote or the windows vista remote (13 more). What is each remote capable of? And is there a slot on the laptop for the travel remote to fit?

The other is the screen, I went for the higher resolution glossy screen (150 more) over the lower resolution anti-glare screen, I'll mostly be using this computer for school and gaming. Is there a big difference when viewing either screen in sunlight, such as during a bus commute?

The remote I ordered was the Dell IR remote, that fits in the express card slot. It just has simple media control buttons. You can search on dell.com for "FW331" and buy a refurbished one for about $15 (that's what I did after I realized I hadn't ordered it with my original order.

As far as the screen, I can't really tell you which one is better. I chose anti-glare bc glare REALLY bothers me for some reason. The glossy may be prettier, but I prefer the non glare.

I doubt that there will be a big difference between the high-resolution and the normal glossy in sunlight.
