Well I did order my 1530 with the $669 deal I posted last week, and it was a great deal, just had more than I needed since you can't downgrade many things. So I found a e-value code for $400 off a 1530 and checked it out, and the only catch is that you have to get a 3 year warranty. It comes with 36 months of trend security but take that off for an extra $40 off. I called them up and got an extra 8% off of my order, as well as free next day shipping. Here are the specs:
2.0 Ghz processor
crimson red
1GB ram
120GB 5400RPM Hard Drive
128MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M G
15.4 inch Wide Screen WXGA+ TrueLife LCD with 2.0 MP camera (1440x900)
Intel 3945 wireless card
Integrated bluetooth
Free next day shipping
Total with tax: $1,072.65!

ya wut sly said...
1gb ram is barely enough for he comp to turn on lol...
get a 2gb stick from newegg and upgrade urself to 2.5gb -
Yeah well I will be running Ubuntu on it so 1 GB will be fine for almost everything on Ubuntu, but once I get this all payed off in a month or so I will be getting some more ram...hell of a lot cheaper than getting it through Dell! I have been using a Pentium 4 with 512 ram and a 4200 hard drive so anything will seem blazing fast compared to this POS!

Thanks phish. That's a great code. My goal = 4 GB RAM w/o paying Dell's prices (I'll get it at Kingston or elsewhere).
Would it be better to use the $669 discounts, get 3GB RAM and try selling it on ebay OR to use phish's code and get just 1 GB RAM?
Just cancelled my 1530 order
