Hey all!
Ordered my m1330 on 8/14 and have been in Build ever since. So, last night I wrote an email to [email protected] explaining my need to get my lappy sooner than the current ESD of 9/20.
Anyway, checked order status today and VOILA -- Boxing stage!!
I am excited!!
So you think that is a coincidence or maybe someone at Dell put me in priority?
Just curious.....

i think it is just coincidence, because michael dell cant do anything to speed it up, he is just a ceo who didnt pack up enough supplies for this delay.also, if you ordered aug 14, you couldnt have your part in at the press of michael dells button(sounds weird, i know).so you probably got lucky.REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLy lucky

I know that isn't really his email! I believe that it once was and somebody put out on the internet somewhere and they probably left that email open just to see what comes through there.
Just my 2 cents, though...... -
What're your system's specs?
-
Take 3-4 weeks for boxing and ship????
-
Sorry.. I just updated my sig with specs.
imzomnia - My ESD was/still is 9/20, but I am assuming I'll get it next week which would make it 3 weeks early -
I think Michael Dell had a bad day with his board of directors and without replying did a good deed for you.. makes him feel like the old days when he could actually make a difference in peoples lives.
What are the chances that for 16 straight days your laptop is in build stage and then all of a sudden after an email to Mr. Dell, your laptop is boxed! -
jb - That's exactly why I posted this. Coincdence, luck, or just perfect timing...... Either way I am happy

I wouldn't say it is a coincidence. I just did it twice to that same email yesterday and mine today is now in the boxing stage. I ordered on Aug 7 and box Aug 31. Looks like it works.

bt- That def makes me believe someone is answering those emails

It may or may not be just coincidence. Letters of complaint/concern that somehow make it through the pile to executive directors and those with influence get routed directly to an executive business support group that deals strictly with 'priority' complaints as well as privacy compliance. An example of this is if you sent a complaint to Mike Dell and he did receive it. It would be routed to this group.
Another way of getting this type of priority is to hand write your complaint and send it by snail mail, registered of course. This type of mail is given a much higher priority then web complaint and also goes to the above group of people.
That may be the case here. -
Whatever it may be, I am getting my lappy ~2.5 weeks early.... I have always had nothing but good luck with Dell.
It's funny because some ppl can't stand Dell and have lots of problems. Not me, I love Dell....
Just coincidence??
