Has anybody else noticed the DVD drive when installing games gets REALLY loud. Not like a grinding or anything, just a really loud hum. Doesn't do it when just reading at a normal load or on a movie. Was just wondering.

Also, does the i7 just choose when to shut off the cores for the Turbo Boost? Or are there settings you have to mess around with.

    Thanks in advance.

For the CD its normal for them to be loud when installing games because its spins so fast to read those big files.
As for the Turbo its controlled by the motherboard.Theres no need for you to adjust anything unless you want to turn it off, that setting is in the BIOS.
