    Hi there!

Just recieved my new e1505 and i have a couple quick questions.

    1. How hot is this thing supposed to run? It seems to get quite warm on the underside and a bit warm where my palms rest.

    2. What is the deal with the external battery LED? I can't seem to make sense of when it lights up.

    Thanks!

that LED lights up green when you plug in the A/C adaptor to tell you that its charging. When its finished charging, the LED goes out. If your battery is low, it blinks orange.

On my e1505, I noticed after its been running for a while, the area by the right vent next to the backspace key gets very warm, thats because the hard drive is around there. I woudlnt worry about it unless it gets unbearably hot, then it could be a problem with one of the fans. Download speedfan from http://almico.com if you want to monitor temperatures of certain key parts on the system, including the procesor, video card, ram, and hard drive. It will also tell you about the fan speeds.

Enjoy your new E1505, this thing is my first laptop and my favorite =)
