Man this system rocks. Playing F.E.A.R. on a 17" screen kicks a**The laptop is big but isnt heavy at all to me.The only problem i have is that it gets hot pretty quickly (im not surprise since its a 17" screen) and that too many unwanted programs are installed. I also have a question concerning the AC adapter. When i plus the AC adapter to my laptop should there be a light somewhere indicating its plugged in to the laptop?

You should see 3 status lights on the right hinge.
1st - power light --> anytime the laptop is on, it is solid. If it is flashing, then it is in Standby mode. If it off, then it is either in hibernation or shut down.
2nd - cpu/hdd light --> flashes when your cpu is active, or your HDD ( i can't remember which)
3rd - battery/ac light -->Solid Orange= low battery - critical. Flashing Orange = low battery, but not critical. Solid Green/flashing green = charging. No light = using battery but not at low stage. -
well i plugged in my adapter to my laptop but i dont see any light anywhere.

Well, if you don't mind adding another icon to your taskbar, you can try this:
Control Panel -> Power Options -> Advanced -> Always Show Icon in Taskbar
When you're plugged in, you'll see a "Plug" icon in your taskbar.
When you're running on battery, you'll see... well, a Battery. -
have you charged your battery recently? if your battery if fully charged, then the battery light won't do anything. It is solid when it is constantly charging, and flashes when it starts to become completely charged. Once it is completely charged, then the battery light does not come on.

Yes, have no f.e.a.r.! Mines fully charged and the lights off as per S_Girl. Enjoy that 7900GS!

oO i guess my batt is fully charged then.lol.I also have another question concerning my HD.when i click on my hd it shows that the total size of my hd is only 87GB but i ordered a 100 GB HD. Did dell give me the wrong hd?

Companies state the size of the drive by 1,000 bytes, but your computer divides it by 1,024 bytes.
This explains it better than I can: http://www.personal-computer-tutor.com/abc3/v30/vic30.htm
Your drive should read closer to 93 "real" gigs. Maybe the rest is being used by Windows for virtual memory type stuff? -
As erythro said, 1024mb = 1gb, but there is alot more to it. For one, dell has several pre-installed partitions on your system including a spare partition and restore partition. The format guide (link in sig) gives you more information on those partitions.
Just got my new 1705
