    Just installed some drivers, questions about others after format

    I install most of the required drivers after my format and things seem to be working normal. i didnt however install the flashbios update that said was required. it is working fine without it, so do i really need it? also, there wasnt really any driver for my dvd burner, do i need one in order ro burn cds and dvds? i have an e1405 btw. thanks for ur help.

    Wow, you've just started a new thread for just about every issue that you've run into today. I'm not gonna tell you to search, but how about just continuing in your current threads? I recall that you started another one today regarding E1405 drivers. ;)

    The flash bios for the E1405 is version A01. You are more than likely running version A01. So even if it were possible to "upgrade," it'd be pointless.

    Also, optical drives don't require drivers. They run on firmware, which is contained on the device itself... so you should be able to start burning right away, provided you have the required software.

    please start posting all formatting questions & issues in the Format & Reinstall XP Questions

    You don't have to reflash your BIOS. I recommend it because sometimes when you are formatting your BIOS might become damage.
