Just placed an order for a shiny new m1330 and got a great deal, in my opinion. Will post more details about it in a bit. Alpine White ^^
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped make my decision out of the SZ, TZ and the m1330.
More to come soon!
Update: Called a few reps to fish around for what they could offer. The first representative gave me an awesome deal but then ended up hanging up on me after putting me on hold. I had her extension and kept trying to call her back and she would not answer; I left her a message and she did not get back to me.
Called again to find this rep who had a manager right there and could not give me a quote by mail with the "correct" price due to him getting in trouble if so. As Flamenko said it took a while and hours of communicating to find this rep. Eventually I got the following system:
Alpine White
-T7500
-1GB Ram (Ordered 4gb on newegg)
-320GB 5400rpm HD (Would have liked the 7200 but storage is a must for my database needs and carrying thousands of excel workbooks and presentations for work, Anyone note experience of changing out HD to upgrade one day when 7200rpm or SSD's surpass this amount?)
-Sound Blaster Audigy HD
-Bluetooth EDC 2.0
-X3100 (Need to maximize battery life)
-9cell & 9cell additional
-Bluetooth Mouse (was thrown in free)
-Slim LED Screen
-Intel Next Gen Draft N Card
-Vista Home Premium
-Trend PC for 3 years
-Biometric Fingerprint Reader
-3 Year in Home Parts + Labor / 24x7 Dell Customer Support
-3 Year Lojack Theft Recovery + Accident Protection
Now for the price I dont have the exact quote as it is on my girlfriend's email address and shes out of town right now for holiday but these are the discounts I received:
-$100 Instant savings
-$25 Additional off from rep
-$200 From his manager
-$150 Off on the 3 Year In Home Parts & Labor Warranty
-$75 Off 3 Year Accident & Theft Recovery Warranty
-$200 Gift Card
-$69.99 Free Next Day Shipping Upgrade
EDD: 12/3/07
One question how long did everyone's m1330 stay in order processing state?
-
How much was it?
-
i got one with base configuration, plus fingerprint, lcd screen, 8400, 6 and 9 cell battery, bluetooth for 1600 shipped
-
Pretty good deal brune, the price ill post in a few days or so when my GF comes back
-
Excellent deal and thanks for the mention!!!! It will stay in the processing stage until it is being prepared to be shipped. It may be a few weeks, depending on the backlog and LED/LCD component availability as this causes the greatest lead times.

ArMiXiA i hope that things work out well for you and that this computer lives up to your expectations.
I remember responding to your post in the what should i buy section of this forum a few days ago. I actually forgot about that and i thought that you were already an owner when i replied to your post the other day in this forum. Sometimes you can lose track of what you are replying to lol.
Anyway i hope that things work out for you and that Dell gets things right first time for you. I will be interested to read your review also. -
I got the 2ghz, LED, fingerprint, bluetooth, Intel 4965, 9 cell in Red for $1,680 shipped.. I got only 1 GB though.. bought a 2gb dimm for $50 bucks separately...
I used the $200 coupon last week and then got the phone rep to add $50 on top of that and the $100 of instant savings... -
Thanks for the good words guys. One more question, I paid $75 for the biometric fingerprint reader and now its a standard option can I get that $75 back since I didnt even receive the system yet?
I'll definitely write some words of the laptop once I get it, man the wait feels like eternity!
I ordered 4gb of Ram and the Intel Turbo Memory module and those two came already and the laptop's not even here yet ! -

Just call Dell and tell them that you are not happy etc and they probably will credit you back the $75.
