No offense but how in the h*** did you manage to get that config for just $1400 plus tax? Where did you get that? Not from Dell store right?

I just priced it out on Dells small businesss site, and it comes to like $1900.
    Awesome config tho.

It's direct from Dell. Brand New. My undergrad has a contract with Dell as well as Gateway and Apple.

    hi,
nice one you'll get. i'm thinking about the same one except for 2GB RAM and 80GB 7200

    just one question about

    is the completecare really useful?

and on a dell, if the screen is not really good with some leakages etc, is it possible to get it replaced if i only took the 3year warranty ?
    thanks

I will get another 1GB of RAM from Newegg and install it myself as it is cheaper. I got CompleteCare because I'm in school for the next four years. This laptop will go to class and library with me everyday and as such it's accident prone. I don't want to have to shell out the money for another laptop if I accidently drop it or spill something on it. You can get your screen replaced anytime within your warranty limit even without complete care as long as it's from natural wear and tear such as light leakages or the eventual failure of a hardware.

i guess having 2 sticks of ram would be a little better unless you plan on adding another 1g bstick
