    l ordered the following for $680 which includes tax:

    Core Duo T2300
    512mb DDR533 (will get another 512mb/1gb dimm from newegg)
    60gb 5400rpm HDD
    CD-RW/DVD
    Intel 3945
    14" WXGA+ Trulife
    6 cell battery
    Windows MCE w/recovery disk

    how did u get it to 680? i am seconds away frmo ordering an E1405 but now i wanna know how u got it that low! ;D

    My guess is he probably ordered through EEP w/ the 35% off coupon (expired), automatic 4% discount & 3% DPA discount.

    Since the coupon expired l guess not, but there are always deals with dell going on and coupons are released every week. Watch out on Thursdays, l think thats the day new coupons come out every week.

    how do u know they will be coming down again shortly? i was looking to buy today acutally but then saw this deal and held up. too bad it was expired;(

    Nice, l wish they still had the free 1gb upgrade or l wouldn't have to blow $50 on newegg which may be a while before l can get it.
