This thread is just a comment I would like to make. I have recently ordered an Inspiron 6000D:

    Pentium M 750 (1.86 GHz)
    WSXGA+ 1680x1050
    512MB RAM
    80GB HDD
    128MB Radeon X300
    8x DVD burner
    Wireless Bluetooth
    Nylon Case

This will be my first notebook PC. I currently own a DELL Dimension 8100 from April 2001 that I have upgraded since and is a really big machine. I hope that I am pleased with this as I really did not want a large notebook PC, but did not want to settle for a lightweight one with sub-par graphics accelerator.

The thing that bothered be the most is the display options. WXGA @ 1280x800, WSXGA+ @ 1680x1050, and WUXGA @ 1920x1200 for a 15.4". The size is fine for me as I didn't want a large notebook, but what's odd is that there are notebooks out there with 17" screens that come with WXGA+ @ 1440x900 and I'm wondering how a 15.4" looks with 1680x1050. I just hope I'll be happy with it. It'll be interesting to see what DELL offers in the future with this 6000 line or in an immediate successor.
